· A May 2025 study from the Institute of Science Tokyo shared than nearly 44% of respondents worry about running out of food
· The Relative Poverty Rate is 15.7%
· Over 60% of Japanese households state that it is "difficult" or "very difficult" to pay their bills due to rising grocery inflation costs

According to the Global Hunger Index, Uganda receives a #Foodinsecurity score of 20.2 with nearly 37% of the population living undernourished.
Of those numbers, 26% of children have experienced slowed growth.
This ranks Uganda 87 out of 123 countries in the Global Hunger Index.

Description
Hunger stats and causes of poverty in the Garden State discussed.
· Nearly 829,000 people lived below the poverty line in 2024 ($15,060 for an individual and $31,200 for a family of four is the poverty line)
· As a percentage the poverty rate for the state was 9.2% which was actually less than the prior year at 9.7%. o The national poverty rate is around 12.1%
· For New Jersey residents that had a mortgage, their average monthly housing costs were just under $2,800 or $24,000 annually
· Lastly, we see some economic, gender, and racial discrepancies with poverty rate
o The poverty rate for women was 10.1% compared with 8.2% for men
o Black, American Indian, and Alaska Native, and Latinx/Hispanic residents were also between two and three times more likely to live in poverty than White and Asian residents
